Terms and Conditions of Use

Welcome to Cyber Welfare. Access to our resources and participation in training programs are governed by these Terms and Conditions. Our philosophy focuses on user sovereignty and process transparency.

1. Nature of the Project

Cyber Welfare is a non-profit project managed online by a network of cybersecurity professionals and enthusiasts. The project does not have a physical headquarters and operates in a distributed manner to promote the culture of data protection and digital well-being.

2. Interaction Methods and Platforms

The Cyber Welfare ecosystem is structured to minimize the collection of unnecessary data:

  • Informational Site (cyberwelfare.org): Offers complementary resources freely accessible without the need for authentication or registration.
  • Learning Platform (LMS): Online courses reside on an external platform managed by third parties, which requires the creation of a personal account according to their terms of service.
  • Communications and Personalized Services: Direct interaction, peer-to-peer support, and submission of evidence for certification take place via Email and third-party services.

3. Certification Process and Online Register

The issuance of the Cyber Welfare Certification is the result of a documented growth path.

  • Validation: The certification is issued following verification and validates the activities carried out by the user within the “Protect your Digital Privacy” Program.
  • Register Management: managed directly by Cyber Welfare.
  • Publication Options: Privacy is a right, not an option. The user has the right to choose and manage the publication options for their diploma.

4. Code of Conduct (Netiquette)

Participating in Cyber Welfare means joining a community based on mutual respect. We ask every user to follow these principles:

  • Intellectual Honesty: The evidence submitted for validation must be truthful and the result of one’s personal commitment.
  • Respect and Cordiality: In email communications with instructors and other members, use a constructive and professional tone.
  • Protection of Others: Never share personal data, screenshots, or sensitive information concerning third parties without their explicit consent.
  • Collaboration: The spirit of the project is mutual aid; criticism and suggestions are welcome if aimed at collective improvement.

5. Data Processing

In line with the principle of minimization, we only require strictly necessary data: Name, Email, and Language. The files sent as proof of activities are used exclusively for validation purposes and managed through secure third-party services.

6. Intellectual Property

The original models and contents of the Framework are released under license:

Creative Commons 4.0 Attribution – Non Commercial (CC BY-NC 4.0)

You may share the material by citing the source, but you may not use it for profit.

7. Limitation of Liability (Disclaimer)

Absolute security does not exist. Cyber Welfare offers educational tools and good practices, but:

  • The application of recommendations does not guarantee invulnerability to cyber attacks or data loss.
  • Cyber Welfare and its collaborators are not responsible for damages resulting from the use of the site or from computer incidents suffered by the user. The management of one’s own security remains an individual responsibility.
