Become a Cyber Welfare Instructor: a bridge between technology and people
From attentive user to conscious guide: an act of active digital citizenship
To become a Cyber Welfare Instructor means earning the qualification to train other people on digital security and privacy, using the language and tools of the Program. Have you ever explained to a friend how to protect their account, or helped a colleague avoid a risky mistake over email? If you felt the desire to teach, and not just to fix, you already carry the seed of this role.
What you will find in this section
- What an Instructor does: translates the complexity of cyber security into simple, replicable behaviors, acting as a bridge between technology and people.
- The value of the role: helping others replace uncertainty and worry with competence and confidence: empowerment, not alarmism.
- Active digital citizenship: teaching digital security is a concrete contribution to the community, not just a training activity.
- The language of the Program: you will use the Cyber Welfare method and materials, so every session speaks the same language wherever it is delivered.
- The next steps: checking the access requirements, following the training path and submitting your application to the Education Project.
Why this section: the Cyber Welfare method
The Instructor role is where the Cyber Welfare Program becomes scalable: the "Protect Your Privacy" project guides citizens through the 32 recommendations, but truly reaching people requires prepared guides. Within the Framework, becoming an Instructor is the natural outlet of level FL5 (Expert/Guide): those who have consolidated awareness, skills and behavior can turn their digital maturity into a contribution for others.
Who it is for
People with solid technical foundations who feel that "fixing the problem" is no longer enough: IT professionals, trainers, teachers, managers who see colleagues and family members struggling with digital security every day and want to give them tools, not just solutions.
Requirements and details
The starting point is the Access Requirements: basic technical skills, communication abilities and ethical integrity, explained in detail on the dedicated page. Once you meet the criteria, the next step is applying from the Join the Education Project page.
Frequently asked questions
Do I need to be a technician to become an Instructor?
No: basic technical skills are enough, not a specialist career. The ability to communicate with empathy and clarity is worth as much as knowledge of the tools.
What is the difference between an Instructor and a security consultant?
A consultant solves problems for the client; an Instructor teaches people how not to fall into them again, shaping lasting behaviors with the Cyber Welfare Program method.
Does the role require a full-time commitment?
No: the qualification lets you deliver training sessions according to your availability, while keeping the commitment to constant updating set out in the Code of Ethics.
Do you recognize the seed of the Instructor in yourself? Check the Access Requirements and submit your application from the Join the Education Project page.
