The Cyber Welfare disclaimer: purpose and limits of the project
Before exploring our content, using our tools or starting the certification path, please read these legal notes carefully: transparency is one of our core pillars
Welcome to Cyber Welfare. We want your learning journey to happen with full awareness, so before you continue we invite you to read this disclaimer carefully. It is not a wall of legalese, but an honest statement of what this project is — and what it is not.
1. Exclusively educational purpose
All content published on this portal — including the Cyber Welfare Framework, the Competency Models, the Guides, the Tools and the teaching material of the Courses — is provided for purely educational and learning purposes. The Cyber Welfare project exists to promote a culture of security and digital well-being. The information provided does not constitute, in any way, professional, legal, technical or cybersecurity advice for specific individual or business cases.
2. No guarantee of “absolute security”
In the digital landscape, zero risk does not exist. Although our resources are based on rigorous and up-to-date research, applying our recommendations does not guarantee total immunity from cyberattacks, privacy breaches or data loss. Cybersecurity is a dynamic process that depends on countless variables, many of which are beyond the control of this programme.
3. User responsibility
The user is solely responsible for any action taken as a result of reading the content or using the suggested tools. Cyber Welfare, its authors, researchers and Instructors cannot be held liable for any damage, whether direct or indirect, data loss or malfunction arising from the application of the techniques or software described on the portal.
4. Third-party tools and external resources
When we suggest third-party software or services in the Tools section, we do so on the basis of usability and reliability testing. However, Cyber Welfare has no control over these external resources and cannot guarantee their persistence, security or accuracy over time. Installing and using third-party software remains at the user’s own discretion and risk.
5. What the certification means
The Cyber Welfare Certification Diploma attests to the completion of a learning path and the verification of the documentary evidence required by the Cyber Welfare Framework. While it represents an important milestone in your personal development, it does not constitute a professional qualification certified by external governmental or academic bodies, nor does it replace specific industry certifications (such as CISSP, CISM and similar).
6. Content updates
The digital world evolves fast. We do our best to keep the information up to date, but we cannot guarantee that every piece of content instantly reflects the very latest vulnerabilities or global regulatory changes. Before any important decision, always check the most recent official sources.
Conclusion
By using this site and taking part in the programme, you declare that you have understood the educational nature of the project and accept that your digital protection is, ultimately, the result of your constant attention and personal commitment. Cyber Welfare is a learning partner, not a provider of technical services.
Frequently asked questions
Can I reuse Cyber Welfare materials?
Yes, within the limits of the Creative Commons 4.0 Attribution – NonCommercial licence (CC BY-NC 4.0) described in the Terms and Conditions: you may share the content with attribution, but you may not use it for commercial purposes.
Is the Cyber Welfare certification a professional qualification?
No. The Diploma attests to the completion of a learning path verified under the Cyber Welfare Framework, but it is not a professional qualification recognised by governmental or academic bodies and does not replace industry certifications such as CISSP or CISM.
If I follow your advice, am I safe from every attack?
No one can guarantee that: zero risk does not exist. Our recommendations concretely reduce your exposure to risk, but security remains an ongoing process that also depends on your everyday behaviour.
