The digital security self-assessment: understanding where you stand
It is not an exam and it is not a competition. It is a tool designed for you, to find your bearings and decide how to continue your journey
Understanding where you stand is the first step to improving. The Self-Assessment is a central part of the Cyber Welfare project: it turns study and experience into real awareness, helping you understand what you have learned and how you actually behave in everyday digital life.
There is nothing to prove to anyone: the two assessments below speak only to you, and the results remain a tool at your service.
What you will find in this section
- Course Learning Self-Assessment: the assessment designed for those who have already taken one or more courses: check your level of understanding of the topics covered and discover how much of that information has become useful knowledge.
- Digital Resilience Self-Assessment: the Assessment Test that measures the three dimensions of your digital life — skills, risk awareness and secure behavior — to understand how you react to real situations.
- The comparison with levels FL1–FL5: both assessments return a result you can compare with the levels of the Cyber Welfare Framework: a clear, shared reference for reading your progress.
- A voluntary, non-judgmental tool: no grades, no rankings, no obligations: you decide when to put yourself to the test, and the result remains an indication at your service.
- How the results guide your journey: the outcome helps you decide how to continue: exploring a topic further, reviewing a course or moving on to the next step of your digital growth path.
Why this section: the Cyber Welfare method
The self-assessment closes the circle of the Cyber Welfare method: with Learn you build the foundations, with the Courses you develop your skills, and here you measure how much of all this has become part of the way you live your digital life. Measuring without judging is the key: only an honest, serene picture of where you stand lets you choose the next step with confidence, free of performance anxiety.
Who it is for
People who have taken one or more courses and want to check what they have really learned, those curious to discover their level of digital resilience even before starting to study, and anyone who prefers to guide their journey with concrete feedback rather than mere impressions.
Requirements and details
The assessments are taken independently, require just a few minutes and can be repeated over time: you can retake them after a new course or months later, to observe your progress. No specific preparation is needed — your everyday experience and a little honesty with yourself are all it takes.
Frequently asked questions
Is the self-assessment an exam?
No: it is not an exam and it is not a competition. It is a tool designed for you — no grades, no rankings, just a clear indication of where you stand, useful for deciding how to continue your journey.
Which assessments can I take?
Two: the Course Learning Self-Assessment, for those who have already taken the courses and want to check their understanding of the topics, and the Digital Resilience Assessment Test, which measures skills, risk awareness and secure behavior.
Can I repeat the assessments?
Yes, whenever you like: they are designed to be repeated over time. Retaking them after a course or months later lets you observe your progress and see whether your level in the Cyber Welfare Framework has changed.
Assess your learning or discover your level of digital resilience: choose the assessment that suits your moment and take stock of your journey, calmly and without judgment.
